What are the Requirements to Run Android Auto on My Car Display?

Situation: You want to know the requirements to run Android Auto on your car display.

Applicable to: ColorOS 3.0 and above devices. Check your ColorOS version in [Settings] > [About Phone].

Here are the requirements to run Android Auto on a car display:

  • A phone running ColorOS 3.0 and above with a data plan. You can check your phone’s software version in [Settings] > [About Phone].

  • A car or stereo that's compatible with Android Auto.

  • A high-quality USB cable.

  • (For wireless projection) A compatible phone and an aftermarket car stereo from JVC, Kenwood, or Pioneer.

 

Note: You need a network or Internet connection for this feature to work. Additionally, this feature may NOT be available in some regions and NOT all cars support the Android Auto feature.
