How Clipboard Data Is Stored and Deleted on Your OPPO Smartphone (Using Gboard)

⏳ How Long Does Clipboard Data Stay on Gboard?

By default, Gboard saves clipboard items for up to 1 hour. After that, the copied content is automatically deleted from the clipboard.

This behaviour is designed to:

• Protect your privacy (especially when copying sensitive data like passwords or OTPs)

• Prevent unnecessary storage of old clipboard items

• Keep the clipboard clean and up-to-date

🔐 What If You Pin Clipboard Items?

Gboard allows you to pin specific clipboard items so they don’t get deleted after the 1-hour limit.

How to Pin an Item:

1. Tap on the clipboard icon in Gboard

2. Long-press the item you want to keep

3. Tap Pin

Pinned items will remain in your clipboard history until you manually remove them.

🧹 How to Manually Delete Clipboard Content

To remove any clipboard entry manually:

1. Open Gboard

2. Tap the clipboard icon

3. Long-press the item and tap Delete
