Fix Incoming Call Not Showing on OPPO Phone Screen

We all don't want to miss calls, especially if it's a life-changing one. Seeing those incoming calls on your OPPO phone screen can notify you immediately. However, if your incoming calls are not appearing on your OPPO phone screen, you may need to reset or clear your phone's cache. To learn other troubleshooting steps, read on!


Note: Check your ColorOS version in [Settings] > [About Phone] / [About Device].


The incoming call is not showing on the phone screen

If the calls you're receiving on your OPPO phone do not appear on your phone's screen, you might encounter a couple of problems. To solve this issue, try the presented steps below:


Restart the phone

Press and hold the Power button, slide/ tap, or swipe to restart. Alternatively, press the Power and Volume Up button for at least 8 seconds until you see the OPPO logo.You can set it in [Settings] > [Additional settings] > [Powe button] > Press and hold the Power button


Check if Airplane Mode is turned off

Swipe down from the top of the screen to open Control Center and check if the Airplane Mode is off.

  • For ColorOS 7.0 to ColorOS 13 and above: Go to [Settings] > [Connection & sharing] > [Airplane mode].


Turn off Do Not Disturb mode

Swipe down from the top of the screen to open Control Center and check if the Do Not Disturb icon is turned off. Or go to [Settings] > [Sound & vibration] > [Do Not Disturb]. 


Enable call notification

Although notifications for incoming calls are enabled by default, performing software updates or installing a third-party app could sometimes change the default settings. Try checking and changing the call settings to see if the issue is fixed.

  • For ColorOS 12.0 and above: Go to [Settings] > [Apps] > [App management] > tap the [3-dotted icon] in the upper right corner > [Show system] > [Phone] app > [Manage notifications] > and make sure that the [Lock screen] and [Banner] notifications are enabled/ checked. The Phone app's notification on ColorOS 12.0 and above is enabled by default.

  • For ColorOS 7.0 and 11.1: Go to  [Settings] > [App Management] > [App List] > tap the [2-dotted icon] in the upper right corner > [Show System] > [Phone] > [Manage notifications] > toggle on [Allow Notifications].


Clear the cache and data of the Phone app

Note: Clearing data will DELETE your call history and RESET the Phone app settings. 

  • For ColorOS 12.0 and above: Go to [Settings] > [Apps] > [App Management] > tap the [3-dotted icon] in the upper right corner > [Show system] > find the [Phone] app > [Storage usage] > [Clear data] and [Clear cache].

  • For ColorOS 7.0 and 11.1: Go to  [Settings] > [App Management] > [App List] >  tap the [2-dotted icon] in the upper right corner > [Show System] > [Phone] > [Storage usage] > [Clear Data] and [Clear cache]

  • For ColorOS 12 and above: Go to [Settings] > [Apps] > [App Management] > tap the [3-dotted icon] in the upper right corner > [Show system] > find the [Phone] app > [Storage usage] > [Clear data] and [Clear cache].

  • For ColorOS 7.0 and 11.1: Go to  [Settings] > [App Management] > [App List] >  tap the [2-dotted icon] in the upper right corner > [Show System] > [Call Management] > [Storage Usage] > [Clear Data] and [Clear Cache].

Clean up the storage through the Phone Manager app

  • For ColorOS 7.0 and above: Go to [Phone Manager] > [Clean Up Storage] > [Clean].

Check for software update

Go to [Settings] > [System Updates] / [Software Updates] / [About Device] to check and update your phone's software.


Reset the phone to system settings

Back up and transfer the data on your phone first, then reset it to its initial settings. See How to Factory Reset an OPPO Phone

Note: This option is available with ColorOS 3.2 and above devices. Reset system settings do not erase your phone's data, but it's always a best practice to make a backup of your phone.
