Bluetooth Fails to Connect to Another Paired Device
Your OPPO phone Bluetooth is unable to connect to a device you want to pair it to. Know the troubleshooting you can do to help fix the Bluetooth pairing issue. If you fail to connect to another Bluetooth device that you have paired before on your phone, you can try the troubleshooting as below:
Applicable to: All OPPO Smartphones.
1. Make sure Bluetooth on both devices are enabled.
Make sure both your device and the to-be-connected device have enabled the Bluetooth. Tap to unpair the device and then search and repair it again.
Make sure the Bluetooth is visible by turning on the Phone Visibility. You can go to [Settings] > [Bluetooth] and enable the Bluetooth, then turn on [Phone Visibility].
2. Clear the data and cache for Bluetooth by doing the following steps, and then try to search and pair again.
For ColorOS 7.0 and above: Go to [Settings] > [App Management] > [App List] > Tap the 2-dots icon in the upper-right corner > [Show System] > [Bluetooth] > [Storage Usage] > [Clear Data].
For ColorOS 5.0 to 6.1: Go to [Settings] > [App Management] > [Show System Processes] > [Bluetooth] > [Storage use] > then tap [Clear data].
For ColorOS 3.2 and 3.1: Go to [Settings] > [App Management] > [All] > [Bluetooth Share] > then tap [Clear data].
For ColorOS 3.0 and below: Go to [Settings] > [Additional Setting] > [Application Management] > [Bluetooth Share] > then tap [Clear data].
3. Make sure Bluetooth devices are near each other for best performance approximately within 10 meters and no third-party object blocking the devices.
4. Make sure to charge both devices at least 30% battery or above.
5. Turn the Airplane mode on and off.
6. Make sure the power saving mode or energy saver is turned off.
7. Make sure the pairing code is correct. During the pairing process, both Bluetooth devices will ask to confirm the pairing code.
8. Remove old Bluetooth connections/pairings. Sometimes Bluetooth plays favorite and might always connect to the old one.
9. Unpair then search the Bluetooth device, and pair again.
10. Restart both the phone and the Bluetooth device.
11. Perform component check or routine test for Bluetooth.
11. Reset the phone system settings (this option is available with devices ColorOS 3.2 and above). Go to [Settings] > [Additional Settings] > [Backup and Reset] > [Reset to Factory Settings] > [Reset System Settings Only].
Note: This option will reset all system settings without deleting any data or media files.
If the above steps did not resolve the issue, kindly contact OPPO Support Team, or take your phone, proof of purchase, and warranty card to a nearby OPPO Customer Service Center.
