Background Streaming in Video Player

This innovative functionality enables users to continue enjoying their favorite downloaded videos while multitasking within other apps or even with the screen turned off. As smartphones become increasingly ingrained in our daily lives, the ability to effortlessly stream videos in the background represents a significant step forward in enhancing user convenience and immersive media experiences. Follow the article below to learn how to enable background playback in the video player.

Applicable to: ColorOS 7 and above. Check your ColorOS version in [Settings] > [About Phone] / [About device].

How to use this feature

You can use this feature, by using the system video player, it supports background playback of audio to meet the need to listen to the video. Follow the below steps:

For ColorOS 11 and above:

1. Open [Videos].

2. Play [Video].

3. Tap [].

For ColorOS 7 and above:

1. Open [Videos].

2. Select the video and start playing it. 

3. Tap [] or [] at the top right corner to switch to the audio mode.

   
   

4. Now, you can minimize the application to start playing audio in the background.

   
   

Note: You can Turn Off the background Video playback by Tapping the same Microphone icon [].
