5G Network unavailable in Power Saving mode in ColorOS 14
Various features come with the ColorOS 14 update, and some changes have occurred in the Power Saving mode as well which restricts the 5G network from being used by customers. Power saving mode in OPPO devices is a feature designed to extend battery life by limiting background processes, reducing screen brightness, and optimizing various system settings. While it proves beneficial in conserving energy, users should be aware of the compromise it imposes on certain functionalities, such as the ability to connect to 5G networks.
Applicable to: ColorOS 14 devices. To check the ColorOS version, go to [Settings] > [ About device].
What to do if Unable to use 5G network in Power Saving Mode
Due to the design of the power-saving mode, 5G can not be used by default. If you want to use 5G network normally, please turn off the power-saving mode following this path.
Open [Settings] > Click on [Battery] > Click on [Power Saving Mode] > Turn off [Power Saving Mode], or you can pull down the status bar to turn it off.
