Why Can’t I Scan the QR Code on OPPO Clone Phone
If you are having trouble scanning a QR Code to clone data from one phone to another, there is another way to proceed using the mutual hotspot method. This simple guide, complete with image references, will help you set it up successfully. So, if your phone cannot scan the QR code, don't worry. Just follow the steps outlined in the guide, and you'll be good to go.
Failed to scan QR code while using Clone Phone
While scanning, if the QR code doesn’t work, manually connect to a Hotspot and transfer the data. To do this, perform the following steps:
Open the [Clone Phone] app on both phones.
Choose a method to migrate your files.
If the other phone fails to connect, scan/connect to the other phone, then tap on [Manually connect] / [Connect manually].
Look for the Personal Hotspot of the other phone you're trying to connect in to.
Input the necessary information to connect to the Personal Hotspot.
After the successful connection, you can finally transfer your files.
If your old phone doesn't have a Clone phone
Tap [You can tap to install] >And it will direct you to a web browser or open a browser from your phone and manually copy this link: https://i.clonephone.coloros.com/download
Additional information: This only works when you open it using your mobile phone. If you're using a desktop computer, copy-paste it on your browser's address bar, then hit [Enter]. It will automatically download the APK file.Once you have entered the link above, it will prompt you to download the Clone Phone downloader APK file under the Download folder. You may change the folder path if you wish. Tap [Change the directory] > Then tap [Save].
Note: On some OPPO phones, you won't be able to change the downloaded file's location.Once the download is done, on your home screen, go to the notification panel for the downloaded file or go to [Files] / [File Manager] and tap the [APK] / [APKs] folder or whichever folder you choose to save the file > Tap on the [PhoneCloneDownloaded.apk] file > Then tap on [Install].
After the installation, tap [Done], and you can now start transferring files.
Note:
The duration of the Clone Phone process depends on how big the data you will transfer. Please patiently wait before it is completely transferred.
If it's your first time using the [Clone Phone] app, you will be asked to give the application the necessary permission to access the following:
Storage data: to obtain data.
Camera: to scan QR codes.
Location: access location information to scan for devices.
AppPlatform: to turn Wi-Fi on or off for data transfer. And to turn on or off mobile data to control the data consumption.
