How to Scan Barcode and QR Code With Google Lens on OPPO

With Google Lens, your camera instantly becomes a scanner, enabling you to access product details, contact information, calendar events, website links, phone numbers, and email addresses in seconds. Scan the barcode and QR code using Google Lens

Scan a code

  1. Open the [Camera] app, and tap  > [Google Lens]. (In some versions, you'll immediately see the Google Lens icon undefined as soon as you open the [Camera] app and tap it).

    * In some OPPO phones, Google Lens is already pre-installed, so you can directly go to the [Google Lens] app on your home screen and scan immediately using your phone's camera.

    Note: You can find the Google Lens application in the Google Folder on your OPPO smartphone's home screen.  
  2. Point the camera at the barcode, and the scanning will start automatically. Wait for the camera to scan the code.

  3. Tap the dot that points to the barcode. The barcode information will appear at the bottom of the screen.



  4. Tap the information to perform further actions based on the type of information below:

  • Contacts: You can call, text, or add it to your contact list.



  • Products: You can look for product information such as price and retail outlets that carry the product.



  • Calendar event: You can add the event to your calendar



Tips for effective scanning

  • Hold the phone steadily while scanning. Adjust the distance to focus if the barcode is blurry.

  • Make sure the lighting is adequate. Turn on the flashlight in a low-light environment.



What if my phone doesn't have Google Lens

If your OPPO phone doesn't have this, you can download it from the Google Play Store.

  • Go to the [Google Playstore] (in some OPPO smartphones, it is located on the [Google] folder in your home screen) > tap on the [Search Bar] > type "Google Lens" > select the [Google Lens] application > [Install] > follow the indicated steps to finalize the installation process.
