What to Do If Video Playback is not Smooth on Your OPPO Smartphone?
Did you noticed that the videos play choppy or flicker on your OPPO phone lately? Some of the most common causes are corrupted video, insufficient phone storage, malware attack, crashed video player app or poor Internet connection if you're using an online video player.
Applicable to: All OPPO Smartphones.
Basic troubleshooting

When watching online videos, you can close extra unused apps running in the background to prevent from draining system resources. Tap the Multi-task or Recent Task key
and close the unused apps.
Clear phone storage cache and plug-ins
Junk files might slow down your phone's operating speed. Clean storage in Phone Manage or Security Center to secure your phone and free up more storage space.
Perform security scanning
Go to [Phone Manager] / [Security Center] > [Virus scan], scan for viruses, malicious plug-ins or programs, and uninstall the third-party applications that you installled before the issue started.
When watching downloaded videos
Test play the downloaded videos
Check if the file type is supported by the video player. Test the video in other video players and see if you fix the issue.

When watching online videos
Check the video player or website
Clear cache and restart your video player or the web browser before accessing your video again. Make sure that you have upgraded the video player to the latest version. If you continue to have problems, try another video player to see if your performance changes.
Check the video quality and Internet connections
Make sure you can get online using Wi-Fi or mobile data, and your internet connection is good enough.
Change your video's quality to a lower setting. The higher the video quality, the longer it takes to load on many video players.
Contact your Internet Service Provider to make sure that there is not an issue with its servers. Verify that you currently have permission to access their network as well.
