Cannot Use Background Playback on YouTube Using OPPO Phone
Unfortunately, watching videos on the YouTube app while using your phone in the background is unavailable for users who are not subscribed to their Premium services. The app can only play videos while the screen is awake. For more information about this, please read on.
Note: Available only for ColorOS 13 and above devices. Check your phone's ColorOS version in [Settings] > [About phone] / [About device].
Background playback on YouTube
The background playback on the YouTube app was previously accessible to non-paying users. However, YouTube made this function available only for their YouTube Premium subscribers.
