Picture-in-Picture (PIP) allows certain apps to float in a small window, enabling you to use other apps freely. Picture-in-Picture supports multi-tasking, and enabling it on your OPPO device is so easy. Check here and learn the easy steps on how to enable it.

Note: Available only for ColorOS 7.2 and above devices. Check your phone's ColorOS version in [Settings] > [About Phone] / [About Device]

  • If this option doesn't appear in the applications you have installed, it means that the application is not compatible with the Picture-in-Picture mode.

What is Picture-in-Picture mode

Picture-in-Picture (PIP) allows an app to display in a small floating window while the app is open or after you leave it (to continue watching or using the app). The floating windows display on top of other apps you're using. When you tap the window, you can do a limited interaction with the app, such as pausing a video or returning the app to full screen.

How to enable Picture-in-Picture mode

You can check how you can enable the Picture-in-Picture mode on your OPPO device below.

Note: Before enabling the PIP mode, make sure that your apps are up to date. See How to Update Applications in Google Play Store.

  • For ColorOS 12 to ColorOS 13 and above: Go to [Settings] > [Apps] > [App Management] > choose the application you want to check for PIP or Picture-in-Picture and toggle [Picture-in-Picture] to enable.

  • For ColorOS 7.2 to ColorOS 11: Go to [Settings] > [App management] > [App list] > tap the [Settings Show System Icon2-dots] icon in the upper right corner > [Show System] > choose the application you want to check for PIP/Picture-in-Picture > [Picture-in-picture] and toggle to enable.
