Applicable to: All OPPO Smartphones.
OPPO smartphone can shoot videos with the voice in the background, if the video you shot is voiceless or doesn't have a sound, try the following steps:
Adjust the media volume
Make sure that the media volume of your device is set on high before you shoot videos.
For ColorOS 5.0 and above, go to [Settings] > [Sound and Vibration] > [Volume] > set [Media] at maximum.
For ColorOS 3.0 to ColorOS 3.2, go to [Settings] > [Sound and Vibration] > [Volume] > set [Media Volume] at maximum.
* If your headphone has a separate volume control, kindly adjust from there.
Make a sound recording with Sound Recorder
Play a sound recording made with [Sound Recorder] in the [Tools] folder on your homescreen. Make sure to not block the microphone at the bottom of the device when you record. If it is still voiceless, the microphone of your device may be blocked or damaged.
Test audio from different apps and sources
Try playing audio from different apps, media channels, and sources. If other audios are playing normally, then the microphone could be damagad or blocked.
Check for obstructions
Check for obstructions on the meshes in the microphone. To remove obstructions, gently brush all openings with a clean soft-bristled brush.
Restart the phone
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Slider to power off message appears. Drag the power icon to turn off the phone. To turn the phone back on, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until you see the OPPO logo.
Perform Component Check/Common Problems Detection
Check for speaker error using Common Problems Detection in Phone Manager. If detection results for Speaker returns Error or Not Detected, contact OPPO Support Team or take your phone to the service center.
