What is an O-Dot?

Beauty is not just about color and symmetry, but also about balance. The OPPO Reno series has flattened the camera bulge, so the back of the phone feels completely smooth against your palm. The camera hole area is polished three times and for 95 minutes to ensure flatness above the camera. But will it get easily scratched now? The answer is No because of O-Dot. To know why there is a dot at the back of your OPPO Reno, follow the article below

Applicable to: OPPO OPPO Reno Series.

To avoid scratching up the glasswork and more importantly, the rear cameras, the Reno features a protective O-Dot structure on its rear.

O-Dot is a small ceramic node that raises the phone slightly when lying flat to protect the rear and cameras from scratches and scrapes.

The node has a hardness of 8.5 Mohs and sits below the main camera setup on the central axis of the back of the OPPO Reno. Now That's Smart!
