What is the Select to Speak Feature in OPPO Phone?
When Select to Speak is on, you can tap specific items on your screen to hear them read aloud. Here's how to enable Select to Speak on your phone.
Applicable to: ColorOS 3.0 and above devices. Check your ColorOS version in [Settings] > [About Phone].
Turn on Select to Speak
On your home screen, open [Settings] > [Additional Settings] > [Accessibility] > [Select to Speak]. Toggle on [Select to Speak] and tap [OK] to allow access.
Tap the Accessibility icon
at the bottom of your screen to use this feature. This icon will stay on the Home Screen, in apps, and in any screen where the navigation bar is visible.
Note: If you turned on more than one accessibility feature, tap and hold the Accessibility icon
on the bottom of your screen to switch between the features.
Select to Speak Settings
Open [Settings] > [Additional Settings] > [Accessibility] > [Select to Speak] and tap [Settings] at the bottom. You can set [Read in background] or [Read text on images] according to your needs.
Use Select to Speak
First, tap the Accessibility icon
. Then you can:
Tap a specific item, like text or an image.
Drag your finger across the screen to select multiple items.
Tap the play button to hear everything on the screen.
Select text that appears inside the Camera view
Turn off Select to Speak
Go to [Settings] > [Additional Settings] > [Accessibility] > [Select to Speak]. Toggle off [Select to Speak] and tap [Off] to confirm.
