What is Screen Refresh Rate, Touch Response Rate, and Frame Rate?

Screen refresh rate is how many times the screen refreshes its image in one second. If the screen refresh rate is higher, more frames will appear in one second which will result in a smooth motion. It is expressed in Hertz (Hz).

Touch response rate is the number of times a screen detects user's touch input in a second. In other words, touch response rate is how sensitive the touch screen is to sense the touch input. It is also expressed in Hz.

Frame rate is the speed at which consecutive images called frames are shown on a display and it is usually expressed as frames per second or FPS. Frame rate is frequently linked with screen refresh rate although these two are different. Frame rate can also be expressed in Hz.
