What is Call Forwarding and How to Set Up On OPPO Phone
If you own an OPPO phone with call forwarding, you can easily receive phone calls and redirect them to another number. Read on to discover how you can activate call forwarding on your OPPO device.
How to set up call forwarding
This call-forwarding function is convenient for those with different phones for personal or work use. Call forwarding can serve as your backup plan not to miss important calls for work or personal calls.
For OPPO phone dialer
For ColorOS 13 and above: Go to [Phone] app > tap the [3-dotted vertical icon] > [Settings] > [Carrier-related settings] > [Call forwarding].
For ColorOS 7.0 to ColorOS 12: Go to [Phone] app > tap the [Phone tab] > [2-dotted vertical icon] > [Settings] > [Carrier call settings] > [Call forwarding].
For ColorOS 6.1: Go to [Phone] app > tap the [Phone tab] > [3-dotted vertical icon] > [Settings] > [Carrier Call Settings] > [Call Forwarding].
* Alternatively, go to [Settings] > [System apps] > [Call] > [Carrier Call Settings] > [Call Forwarding].
Choose one of the following options
Always Forward: All incoming calls are sent to the number you specify. Enabling this option automatically disables all other forwarding options.
When Busy: Calls are only forwarded when you’re on another call and choose not to answer.
When Unanswered: Calls are only forwarded when you choose not to answer the phone.
When Unreachable: Calls are forwarded when the phone is turned off, out of range, or in airplane mode.
For Google Phone dialer
On your OPPO phone home screen, tap the [
Phone] app.
Tap the [three-dotted line] at the top right.
Tap [Settings] > [Calling accounts].
Then tap [Carrier call settings] and tap [Call Forwarding].
* If you have a dual SIM inserted on your phone, tap the SIM you want to enable the call forwarding.
Then, choose one from the options below:
• Always Forward: All incoming calls are sent to the specified number. Enabling this option automatically disables all other forwarding options.
• When Busy: Calls are only forwarded when you’re on another call and choose not to answer.
• When Unanswered: Calls are only forwarded when you choose not to answer the phone.
• When Unreachable: Calls are forwarded when the phone is turned off, out of range, or in airplane mode.
Enter the number you wish to forward your calls to.
Then tap [On].
• If you wish to update the phone number, tap the option you preferred when forwarding a call, then enter the new number and tap [Update].
• To turn it off, tap the option you preferred and then tap [Off].
Network or SIM card error when enabling Call Forwarding
If you are unable to turn on the call forwarding for your number, here are a couple of troubleshooting steps you can try:
Check if Call forwarding is activated for your SIM card.
You can contact your carrier provider and activate the Call forwarding service. If the issue is with your SIM card, get your SIM card replaced.
Remove and re-insert the SIM card
This error may also show when the SIM card is loose. Make sure your SIM card fits securely into your device's SIM slot.
Turn off and on the Call forwarding function.
Try to disable and enable the Call forwarding switch to check if the issue is fixed.
