Photos App Interface
The interface closely resembles that of the Photos app in ColorOS 7, but with a notable enhancement: a new quick-access toolbar on the main page. This toolbar provides convenient shortcuts for easy navigation to Videos, Favorites, People, and Locations, making it simpler than ever to organize and find your media at a glance.
Editing Tools
The "Photos" app on devices running ColorOS 11 and above is packed with new editing features. These useful tools allow you to edit your photos like a professional. Below are the details of the new editing tools added to the Photos app.
Crop & Rotate: This tool can be used to crop your image as per your requirements. You can rotate, flip, and straighten the photos with this tool. There are also some standard ratio aspects available to choose from.
Adjust: You can adjust the tone of your photos to make them look amazing. The level adjustment tool includes Brightness, Contrast, Color Saturation, Exposure, Highlights, Shadows, Color Temperature, Tone, Sharpness, Brilliance, and vignette. If you are too lazy to apply these settings, there's a cool option "Auto Enhance" that will automatically apply the best effects for you.
Filters: There are multiple new filters added to the photos app. You can use them to enhance the photo so that you can upload them on social media.
AI Eraser: You can quickly and easily remove any object from your photos, no matter how complex the background is.
Note: The availability of AI Eraser in your device is dependent on its hardware compatibility.
Markup: Now, you can doodle with a brush and a pencil on the photo, and draw shapes using straight lines, rectangles, circles, and arrows. The size and color of these markups can also be adjusted as per your interest.
Text: You can add text to your image. These texts can also be bold and can be filled on the image. The text color can also be changed with this tool.
Pixelate/ Mosaic: Mosaic is sometimes used to hide sensitive or confidential content in an image. You can also choose the following mosaic pattern: Pixel, Smudge, Dots, Blur.
Note: Pixelate option is available in ColorOS 13 instead of Mosaic. Pixelate automatically blurs out confidential information.
Beautify/ Retouch: The Beautify effect will automatically affect your photos if it detects a human face. You can press "One-tap beautify" to automatically beautify the image or you can adjust different effects such as Lightening, Smoothening, Remove Blemishes, Slim Face, Enlarge Eyes, Brighten Eyes, Remove Dark Circles, Whiten Teeth, etc.
Stickers: You were able to click photos with stickers. Now, you can add photos to the images by editing them.
AI Palettes: You can apply automatically generated filters on photos.
Eraser: Remove unwanted objects from your photos. Just tap it and select the area you want to erase.
Blur: You can create a bokeh effect and adjust its blur effect by sliding the bar. You can create the bokeh effect in a circle region or in a straight line.
