Unable to Pair OPPO Enco W31 with Smartphones from Other Brands

 

Situation: The OPPO Enco W31 headphones won't pair with mobile phones from other brands.

Applicable to: OPPO Enco W31 Headphones.

This issue may occur due to the following reasons:

  • The headphone power is not sufficient to meet the pairing conditions.

  • The device is connected to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi when using Bluetooth. Since Bluetooth and WLAN share the same antenna and work in the same 2.4GHz band, when the amount of data transmitted by WLAN is large, Bluetooth will be interfered and the connection will be unstable.

  • The device is not compatible with the phone.

  • The quick pairing function is only applicable to OPPO phone.

 

Perform the following troubleshooting steps and continue to the next step if issue persists:

1. Make sure the headphone is charged (the indicator lights up when you open the charging case). The indicator color indicates the battery level of the headphones when they are in the charging case. If the indicator lights red (low battery), place the headphones inside the Charging Case and connect to the charger.

2. Turn off the Wi-Fi temporarily and reconnect the Bluetooth headset.

3. Contact your mobile phone brand customer service and confirm whether the Bluetooth version of the mobile phone matches the headset.

4. The quick pairing function is only applicable for OPPO phones. Try connecting through the general Bluetooth connection method ([Settings] > [Bluetooth] > [Search/Scan] > [Connect]).

5. Reset the Bluetooth pairing. Place the headphones back in the charging case and keep the lid open. Press and hold the Function button on the charging case until the Indicator blinks. The headphones are now available for pairing with a new device. Then, turn on Bluetooth on the phone, tap [Search] and select [OPPO Enco W31].

6. If these fails, factory reset the Enco W31 headphones. With the headphones in the Charging Case and lid open, press and hold the Function button until the Indicator flashes red three times. Then, the headphones have been restored to factory settings. Repeat Step 4 to pair again.

 

If the issue persists, contact OPPO Support Team, or take your headphones, charging case, proof of purchase and warranty card to a nearby OPPO Customer Service Center.
