Set Your Favorite Music as Ringtone

Want to set up a custom ringtone that suits your style or the music that you like? There are a lot of amazing ringtones provided with the ColorOS that you can give a try. ColorOS also provides you with the feature where you can select any music file as your phone ringtone. But what if you are unable to see any files inside the "Select From Files" or "On this device" menu? No worries, follow the article below to learn how to set a custom ringtone.


Applicable to: Devices with ColorOS 6 and above. Check your ColorOS version in [Settings] > [About Phone]/[About Device].


Settings to Set The Custom Ringtone Option

For ColorOS 11 and above:

Go to [Settings] > [Sound & vibration] > [Ringtone] > Select Sim > Select [On this device]/[Select from files].


For ColorOS 6 & ColorOS 7:

Go to [Settings] > [Sound & Vibration]> Select sim > [Select from files]


Unable to Detect Files to Set Ringtone

Did you go through the above-mentioned settings but you are not able to see your custom music file to set as ringtone? This can happen when the audio is either less than 200kb and try using standard formats like ".mp3".
