Processing Guide on Screen Flicker with R15&R15 Pro _V1

1. Background

Recently we get the feedback that there are some R15 & R15 Pro with screen flicker issues,which mostly results from the damage of screen assembly after analysis.
 

2. Solution

2.1 Since the date of purchase, the warranty period for the screen can be extended to two years if the R15&R15 Pro is with the screen flicker issue. (The region with two-year warranty policy remains unchanged)
2.2 The R15&R15 Pro phones with OOW screen ((such as the liquid damage, private repair, broken or deformation from external force etc.) will not enjoy this extension of the warranty period. If there is another special case, service center can change the screen assembly for users by recording Quality Record.
 

3. Troubleshooting Guide:

3.1 Troubleshoot the phone according to the situation when the screen flicker scene appears: if the screen flicker issue appears after screen –off or screen-on by pressing the power key, the warranty period for the screen can be extended;
3.2 If the phenomenon appears in other cases, judge whether the issue results from the APP, the system or the environment according to description of the user; If the issue is still unable to be solved, troubleshoot and replace the related hardware.
 

4. Record Guide

4.1 If the purchase date for the flicker screen is less than one year, record as "In-Warranty(IW)" in the maintenance type;
4.2 If the purchase date for the flicker screen is more than one year but less than two years, repair the screen as IW and select the phone as “Quality Record” , fill in the file code in the related position, and the record “Extension warranty for R15’s flicker screen"; Record "IW" in the type for the related spare part.
Note:If only the screen assembly has been replaced, record the “IW” in the maintenance type; If other parts have been replaced for the same phone, record “OOW&IW” in the maintenance type.
 

5. Script

Q1: Can the screen warranty period for R15&R15 Pro be added together if the user has purchased the extended warranty service for the whole device?
A1: If the extended warranty service has been purchased, either the service the user has bought or the extended warranty period for R15&R15 Pro’s flicker screen can be chosen(The longer time will be shall prevail);

Q2: If the screen assembly has been replaced within the past year, how to calculate the warranty period?
A2: The screen assembly can enjoy either the rest warranty period of the remaining period(one year) or 180 days( the longer time shall prevail).
