How to fix when people can't hear me on a call

Follow the steps below if people can't hear you during a phone call on your OPPO A54.


Check the network signal strength on your OPPO A54

A poor signal can cause the line to cut off and can also affect its sound clarity.

Check if the call is from your default Phone app or from a *third-party application

If you're using the latter, you may need to update it through the Google Play Store.

Check if your microphone works

You can do it by using the [Recorder] app on your OPPO A54.


Try to use an earphone

Use an earphone compatible with your OPPO A54 and check if the other line can hear you. 


Clear the cache and the data of your Phone app

  • To clear the cache and data: Go to [Settings] > [App management] > [App list] > [Phone] > [Storage usage] > tap [Clear data] then [Clear cache].

  • To clear the cache and data for Call Management: Go to [Settings] > [App management] > [App list] > at the top right corner, tap the [OPPO A54 Show sytem icontwo-dots] icon and tap [Show system] > [Call Management] > [Storage usage] > tap [Clear data] then tap [Clear cache].

Check if your OPPO A54 has a software update

  • To check for software update: Go to [Settings] > [Software update].


Perform a Quick Check

  • Go to the [Tools] folder on your home screen > tap [Phone Manager] > [Quick Check] > [Continue] > select [Audio] and disable other components, then [Run diagnostics] and follow the on-screen instructions to check if your audio works properly. If detection results show error or abnormal, contact OPPO Support Team for assistance.
