Permission Manager Optimization in ColorOS 11
ColorOS 11 introduces a new way to approve permissions such as your location, camera, files, microphone, etc. Now, you have more control over app permissions.ColorOS 11 devices also have a new permission feature that will automatically remove permissions for apps that have not been used for a few months. However, this feature is disabled by default. to use this feature, you have to enable it on an app-by-app basis. Follow the article below to learn more about permission managers in ColorOS 11.
Applicable to: ColorOS 11. Check your ColorOS version in [Settings] > [AboutPhone/About Device].
Permission Manager Optimization
Go to [Settings] > [Appmanagement] > [PermissionManager] > A list of all the services will be available here > Tap the service you want to manage. After tapping the service, you will see a list of all the apps that have permission to access the service. Select the app and it will show you the below actions:
Allow all the time
Allow only while using the app
Ask every time
Deny
Note: The above action might change depending on the service.
Removing Permissions Automatically
Your phone will automatically remove permission for an app if it has not been used for a few months. To enable this feature go to [Settings] > [App Management] > [App List] > [Select App] > [Permissions] > Enable [Remove permissions if app isn't used]. You'll be shown below options to choose:
Allow only while using the app
Ask every time
Deny
