Manage Recovery Email Address of Google Account

 If you happen to have forgotten the password of your Google account or you are unable to sign in normally, a recovery email address could be useful to fix the issue. A recovery email address is an alternate email address that can be added to your Google account settings. It can be used to recover your Google account. It is suggested to always add a recovery email address for security reasons. Follow the article below to learn how to manage your recovery email address.

Applicable to: ColorOS 6 and above. Check your ColorOS version in [Settings] > [About Phone] / [About device].

 

View/ Change Recovery Email Address

1. Go to [Settings] > [Google] > [Manage Your Google Account] > [Personal Info] > [Contact Info].

   

   
   

2. Tap on your Google email address > [Add Recovery Email] and enter your Google account password.

3. You can view your current recovery email address, by tapping to change the recovery Email > Enter the Google Account Password > [] > Enter the new recovery Email address > [Done]. A confirmation mail will be sent to the recovery Email address about this.
