OPPO Smartphones support a Screen Recording feature that lets you capture your phone's screen anywhere you are on your smartphone. It can come in handy when you're trying to demonstrate a step-by-step guide or want to show something to someone. There are several methods wherein you can utilize this feature. Among them is the Smart Sidebar. All you have to do is to access the Smart Sidebar and tap on the screen recording feature. Follow the article below to learn more.

Applicable to: ColorOS 5.2 and above. Check your ColorOS version in [Settings] > [About Phone/ About Device].

Through the Control Center

Accessing the Screen Recording feature through the Control Center is the most convenient way of utilizing it.

Note: If you don't see the Screen Recording feature on your OPPO smartphone's Control Center, see How to Rearrange Control Center Icons.
  1. Access your OPPO Smartphone's [Control Center], by tapping, holding, and swiping down the upper part of your phone's screen.

  2. Scroll further to the right and tap on the [Screen Recording].

  3. This will show the [Screen Recording] tools, tap on the [Record] icon to record your screen.

  4. After you've finished screen recording you will be notified that the screen recording file has been saved. You can go to the [Photos] application to view your recorded file.

Through the Smart Side Bar

The OPPO Smart Sidebar helps you to do tasks with easy access anywhere on your screen, including screen recording.

  1. Access your [Smart Side Bar], by tapping on the Smart Side Bar icon on the right side of your OPPO Phone's screen.

Note:

  •  Each screen recording is limited to a maximum of 30 minutes.

  • The sound through Screen Recording is unavailable when another channel or application uses the microphone feature. This explains why there's no sound from screen recording during a video call. You can only use the voice and recording from your microphone one channel or application at a time.

  • Screen recording will automatically stop when the screen is turned off, the phone is powered off, or after 30 minutes.
