For your Reno 5G to automatically connect to a 5G network, one must enable it,

Enable the 5G network. Go to [Settings] > [Cellular Network] > [SIM] > [Preferred Network Type] > choose [5G/4G/3G/2G (Auto)]

Note: 5G network can only be enjoyed if available in your region. Kindly contact your Mobile Operator (MO) if 5G is available.
