How to Search Files Using the File Manager on OPPO Phones
File Manager is a built-in application on your OPPO phone that organizes all your documents for quick access, accessible right through your home screen. It includes a search tool to easily find files without having to browse manually. Follow the guide below to learn how to look for your documents quickly.
Note: Available for ColorOS 5.0 devices and above. Check your phone's ColorOS version in [Settings] > [About Phone] / [About Device].
How to Locate Files Using the File Manager
For ColorOS 12 to ColorOS 16:
On your OPPO phone, tap the [My Files] app and tap the
icon to search for a file > input the keywords or the file name of the file you want to locate > tap on a folder, or browse the folder result to locate the file you're looking for.
For ColorOS 11 to 11.1:
On your OPPO phone, tap [File Manager] application > tap the
icon to search for a file > input the keywords or the file name of the file you want to locate > tap on a folder, or browse the folder result to locate the file you're looking for.
For ColorOS 5.0 to 7.2:
Go to [File Manager] on your OPPO smartphone's home screen > then tap
> enter the name of the file you want to locate > tap on the folder that could be the location of the file you're searching. Doing this process will make your search more convenient.
Notes:
You can select a file type on the [File Manager] application to locate the file you're looking for quickly. You can choose from Photos, Videos, Audio, Documents, APKs, and Archives.
If you are unsure of the file type of the file you are looking for, you can just set it to [All].
