How To Save Mobile Data

Applicable to: ColorOS 6 and above. Check your ColorOS version in [Settings] > [About phone]/[About Device].
Reduce Mobile Data usage
Enable Data Saving
For ColorOS 11 and above:
Go to [Settings] > Select [Mobile Network]/[SIM card & mobile data] > [Data Usage] > [Data Saving] > Enable [Data Saving].
For ColorOS 6 & ColorOS 7:
[Settings] > [SIM Card & Mobile Data]/[Dual SIM & Mobile/Cellular Network] > [Data Saving] > Enable [Data Saving].
Restrict Apps from Using Data
You can control which app can use your Mobile or Wi-Fi Data. To Restrict apps follow the steps below:
For ColorOS 12 and above:
Go to [Settings] > Select [Mobile Network] > [Data usage] > Choose [Network access] > Select the app and Choose the network access as per your preference.
For ColorOS 6 to ColorOS 11:
Go to [Settings] > [App management] > [App list] > Select the application > Choose [Data usage details]/[Data Usage status] > Disable [Background data usage]
Disable Auto App Update from The Google Play Store
Google Play Store can use mobile data to update applications, leading to high internet usage in the background. You can disable the Auto update app from Mobile data to Wi-Fi only for saving your mobile data:
Open [Google Play Store] > Tap on profile pic in upper right corner > Select [Settings] > [Network preferences] > Select [Auto-upate apps] > Choose [Over Wi-Fi only] > Tap [Ok]
