How to Reset Privacy Passcode in OPPO A3s
ColorOS offers a function for locking and hiding apps and creating a private safe to hide files, like photos, videos, and documents, by using a privacy passcode. However, if the privacy passcode is forgotten, it can be reset using the security question, OPPO India ID, and security email address. Read the following guide below to learn the process of resetting the privacy passcode.
Note: This article is applicable for OPPO A3s and devices with ColorOS 5.2. Check yourphone's ColorOS version in [Settings] > [About Phone].
How to reset Privacy Passcode for OPPO A3s
Go to the Private safe, App lock or [Settings] > [Face & Passcode] > [Privacy Passcode].
Enter the wrong password. You’ll get an option of "Forgot Password."
Select an option to reset the password: Security Question, Recovery Email, or OPPO ID.
For the security question, enter the security answer. Please note that the security answer is case-sensitive.
For Recovery Email, enter the recovery email, you will receive a verification code on the same email address. Enter the code to reset the privacy passcode.
For OPPO ID, enter the OPPO ID password to reset the privacy passcode.
How to add Privacy Passcode recovery methods
Go to [Settings] > [Face & Passcode] > [Privacy Passcode], here you’ll get options to set recovery methods.
Security Question: You can select a security question and type the answer. This answer could later be used to reset the privacy passcode.
Recovery Email: You can add an Email address to use to receive a verification code to reset the privacy passcode.
OPPO ID: Login with your OPPO Account and associate it with your phone. Later, you can use OPPO ID’s password to reset the privacy passcode.
With these instructions, you will now be able to reset the privacy passcode in OPPO A3s. If you followed all these instructions, and you still can't reset the privacy passcode in OPPO A3s, you should check your warranty status. By doing so, you will know whether your warranty covers your phone. If it is, you could have your phone checked and repaired for free.
