How to Recover Data on My Damaged OPPO Phone

If your device faces such challenges, it can be unsettling to know your important data, including photos, contacts, and files, are still stored in your device without certainty about whether you have backed it up or not. We provided solutions below if you find yourself in this situation. Read on.

Recover Data from Damaged Smartphone

Please note that the information remains stored in the internal memory of the device. However, since this memory is offline and cannot be accessed remotely, we are unable to retrieve or access any data from the device. Additionally, in compliance with GDPR, the data will be deleted once the device arrives for repair. The Service Centre is not responsible for backing up or restoring any data during the repair process. If you need to check whether your data has been backed up, please follow the steps below.


Steps to Check for Backup

1. Use another device: Use a computer, tablet, or another phone to log into your Google account.

2. Check Google Services:

  • Google Photos: Visit photos.google.com and log in. If your photos have been backed up, they will appear there.

  • Google Contacts: Visit contacts.google.com and check if your contacts are synced.


If your data was backed up to Google services:

You can access it from any device by signing into your Google account. If you used a third-party cloud service, such as iCloud or Dropbox, don't hesitate to get in touch with their support team directly for assistance.


What to Do if Your Data Is Not Backed Up

If your data is not in Google Photos, Google Contacts, or another cloud service, unfortunately, your data cannot be retrieved. Since these data are stored in the device's internal memory and will be deleted in accordance with GDPR once received, we are unable to help in restoring your data.

Note: If you use a third-party cloud service, you will need to contact their customer support for data recovery assistance.
