How to Manually Add a Network Connection to Your OPPO Phone

If you're struggling to connect your OPPO phone to a Wi-Fi network, whether due to an incorrect password or because it does not appear in the list, you may resolve this issue by adding a network manually. Follow the simple instructions provided below.


Note: Available for ColorOS 3.1 and above. Check your phone's ColorOS version in [Settings] > [About Phone] / [About Device]. 

  • Hidden networks will not display the available Wi-Fi lists, so you need to manually add a network to complete the  WLAN network connection.


Manually Connecting Your OPPO Device to a Wi-Fi Network

  1. Go to [Settings] > [Wi-Fi] and toggle [Wi-Fi] to turn on. 

  2. Scroll down and tap [Manually Add a Network] / [Add network].

  3. Enter the [Name], select the [Security Type], enter the correct password, and tap [Join] or the [check] icon at the top right corner to complete the connection.

 

Additional information:

  • You can choose to show the password or not when entering a password.

  • Not all hidden networks are safe networks. You can check with your network administrator about the network security.

  • You will see if you have successfully connected when "connected" is showing beside or below the network and Wi-Fi Iconin the status bar.
