How to Manage OPPO Phone's Display Settings
If you frequently use your OPPO smartphone and experience eye discomfort or strain, optimizing your screen display can make a significant difference. Adjusting the brightness or font size can improve your overall smartphone experience. Explore these adjustments and other tips to maximize your phone's display in the guide below.
How to Adjust Screen Brightness
If you're outside during the daytime and want a better view of your phone's display, adjust your device's brightness through these two methods:
Through the Control Center
Accessing the brightness bar through the Control Center is the easiest way to adjust your phone screen's brightness. Swipe down from the top of your phone's screen > adjust the brightness according to your liking.
Through the Settings
This option gives you a more detailed view of your phone's display and brightness functions. Go to [Settings] > [Display & brightness] > adjust the brightness according to your liking.
How to Change Screen Color Temperature
Using your phone all day could be harmful to your eyes. The bright pixels with the light from your surroundings can cause eye fatigue and headaches. Optimize your phone screen's color temperature or enable the Eye Comfort feature to avoid putting too much strain on your eyes.
Night-time Reading/Eye Comfort Mode
If you like reading e-books on your smartphone, this mode is the perfect feature for you! The Night-Time Reading or Eye Comfort feature reduces blue light from the screen and alleviates eye strain, which is ideal if you like spending time in front of your phone screen.
For ColorOS 7 and above: [Settings] > [Display & brightness] > [Eye comfort] > enable [Eye comfort]. You can also put a schedule on when to enable this feature, tap on [Schedule] > [Custom] > set your desired time > [Save].
For ColorOS 5 and below: For night reading, go to [Settings] > [Display & brightness] > tap [Night Shield], toggle on [Enable Now], and choose [Comfortable Night-time Reading].
* The Night-Time Reading Mode can also be called Eye Comfort Mode or Eye Care Mode.
Warmer Screen Color
The Screen Color Temperature feature lets you manually adjust the color temperature of your OPPO smartphone's screen. It is best to use a warmer color temperature in dark rooms and a cooler color temperature in brighter rooms.
For ColorOS 12 and above: [Settings] > [Display & brightness] > [Screen colour mode] > adjust the Screen Colour Temperature bar to your liking.
For 11.3 and below: Go to [Settings] > [Display & Brightness] and adjust the screen temperature based on your preference. It is recommended that you adjust it to [Warmer].
Dark Mode
If you're in a dimly lit environment, you might want to enable the Dark Mode for a better viewing experience.
For ColorOS 12 and above: [Settings] > [Display & brightness] > tap on [Dark mode]. You can also schedule when to enable or disable Dark Mode. Tap on [Auto-switch] > enable [Auto-switch] > choose if you want it to be enabled from [Sunset to sunrise] or if you want to set a schedule of your own [Custom].
For ColorOS 7 to 11.3: Go to [Settings] > [Display & Brightness] > toggle [Dark Mode] to enable.
How to Make the Text Bigger
Increase the text size for all your apps, email, messages, and websites to read more comfortably: Go to [Settings] > [Display & Brightness] > [Font Size] / [Font & display size] and toggle to select your desired font size.
What is the Magnification Gestures
