How to Manage Always-On Display (AOD) Modes on OPPO Reno13 Series

🔍 Why Does the AOD Turn Off After a Few Seconds?

By default, if you’ve selected the Power Saving mode in AOD settings, the screen will display AOD content briefly (approx. 4 seconds) and then turn off to save power. You can wake it up anytime by tapping the screen.

This behavior is expected and part of OPPO’s intelligent battery-saving system.

⚙️ How to Access AOD Display Modes

✅[ Settings] >[ Personalizations] > [Always-On Display] > [Display Settings] > [Display Mode]

You’ll find three options:

1. Power Saving Mode

  • AOD turns off automatically after 4–5 seconds of inactivity.

  • Saves battery by minimizing display activity.

  • AOD reappears when you tap the screen or raise the phone (if Raise to Wake is enabled).

2. Scheduled

  • Lets you choose a custom time range (e.g., 7 AM to 10 PM) during which AOD remains active.

  • Outside the set time, AOD will be off to save power.

3. All Day

  • Keeps AOD visible 24/7.

  • Ideal if you prefer having quick info always at a glance.

  • May lead to slightly higher battery consumption.

💡 Pro Tip:

To enable Raise to Wake, go to:

[Settings] > [Home Screen & Lock Screen] > [Raise to Wake]

This makes AOD easier to view without tapping.

🛠 Need Help?

If your AOD isn’t showing or behaving unexpectedly even after choosing the right mode, try restarting your phone or checking for updates under:

  • [Settings] > [About Device] > [Software Update]
