How Does Google Discover Work

Google uses information from your phone and other Google services and products. This also includes your Web & App Activity, App info from your phone, location history, and Contact info.

To use the interests feature, ensure the Web & App Activity is enabled. This saves your searches, browsing history, and other activity in your Google Account. Open [Google] > [More] > [Your data in Search] > [Web & App Activity] > Enable [Web & App Activity].

How to Manage Interests

  • Open [Google] > [Profile] > [Settings] > [Personalisation] > [Manage your Interests] > [Your Interests]. Based on your activity, it will provide you with a list of possible topics that you would like to follow. Tap Add []. After you add a topic, you will get more content related to this topic.

Note: To unfollow a topic, uncheck any topics you don’t want to see updates for.

  • You can hide topics you don't want to see in Discover or other personalized experiences. To hide a topic in Discover, tap Bloc[].
