How to Keep an App Running in the Background in OPPO F5?

ColorOS by OPPO India automatically suspends the background app in order to save power. You can enable apps to continuously run in the background and also restrict background usage. This is useful especially when you are listening to music through a third-party music player or while downloading something from a browser. Follow this article to learn how to keep apps running in the background on OPPO F5.


Applicable to: OPPO F5 and ColorOS 3.2 devices. Check your ColorOS Version in [Settings] > [About Phone].


Allow an app to keep running in the background in OPPO F5

  1. Go to [Settings] > [Battery] > [Energy Saver] > Select the App.

  2. Enable auto-start by opening [Security] from the homescreen > [Privacy Permission] > [Startup Manager] > Enable [App].

  3. Lock the App in the background by going to the recent menu by tapping [Menu Button] > Slide down the app to lock apps in the background. A lock icon will be shown at the top left corner of App-preview if the app is locked in the background.
