Can I Change Messages App Background

Can it be Changed
No, this feature is currently unavailable. However, you can change the theme of the Google messaging app on devices with ColorOS 7 and above. There are two themes to choose from, Light and dark.
Open [Messages].
Tap [
].
Select [Messages settings]
Tap [Choose Theme].
Select the theme. Select [System Default] to change the theme of the messaging app according to your device’s theme.
With these instructions, you will now be able to change the Google message app background of your OPPO smartphone.
