How to do OPPO Screen Recording Using the Front Camera?
Situation: You want to know more about using the front camera when doing screen recording.
Applicable to: ColorOS 5.2 and above. Check your ColorOS version in [Settings] > [About phone].
Note: The Screen Recording feature may not be available in some regions.
Screen recording allows you to record all the things you are doing on your phone’s Home Screen.
Note: This won’t record sensitive information like password and other features that will affect your personal security.
Now you can record video from the front camera while screen recording so that your reactions would be captured while giving a review about something or explaining what’s going on the home screen when exploring something.
Front Camera Recording
For ColorOS 5.2 to 6.1. Go to [Settings] > [System Apps] > [Screen Recording] then toggle [Front Camera] to enable.
For ColorOS 7 and above. Go to [Settings] > [Additional Settings] > [Screen Recording] then toggle [Front Camera] to enable.
Two ways to start Screen Recording:
1. Control center. Swipe down from the very top of any screen (except the notch at the top center of the display). You'll see the shortcuts listed then choose Start Screen Recording.
2. Smart Sidebar. Quickly slide the Smart Sidebar to left and tap on Screen Recording to start. See Smart Sidebar
Other features that you may want to enable before doing the screen recording:
- Allow sound recording. When you want your voice and background sound to be audible.
- Record screen Taps. When you want a white circle to appear with every tap you make.
- Record System sound. Records system sound at maximum volume.
- Video resolution. Choose from High (1080 14Mbps), Medium (720 8Mbps), and Low (480P 3Mbps).
- Display orientation of Generation video. Choose from Follow System, Vertical, and Horizontal.
Note: You can't make any changes to the Screen recording settings while it's being used. All will be grayed out.
Note: Some features of the Screen Recording may not be available in some ColorOS versions.
Regions that do not support screen recording: Italy, Spain, France, Netherlands, Poland, United Kingdom, Belgium, Turkey, USA, Australia, Tunisia, and Japan.
