What to Do if I Can't Remember My Privacy Password

There are two ways to recover the password to your Private Safe:

  1. Face or Fingerprint password: Unlock your Private Safe using these methods if you had set them beforehand.

  2. Security questions, Recovery email, or OPPO ID: Enter the answer to the security question you set, or enter the email address or reset using the password of your OPPO ID.

Note: If the above methods were unsuccessful or not previously set up, resetting the Privacy password is unlikely.

If You Did Not Set Up a Security Email or Questions

We understand how important the data you have saved is on the Private Safe/ File Safe, and not being able to access it can be frustrating, but for privacy concerns, we don't store personal/private data, like passwords.

What to Do if you forgot your password

If you forgot your password in Private Safe/ File Safe and did not set any recovery method like those mentioned above, you need to back up all your files and perform a factory data reset

Note: Performing a factory data reset will erase all your files in Private Safe/ File Safe.

If the abovementioned steps do not fix your concern, prepare your warranty card and contact your nearest OPPO Customer Service. You can also contact OPPO Support so we can help and assist you further with your concern. Depending on your region, you may check if you need to book an appointment before visiting your local Service Center.
