Do OPPO Phones Have a Built-In Video Call Feature
Video calling has become an essential communication tool, allowing users to connect with friends, family, and colleagues in real-time. Many OPPO users wonder whether their devices support built-in video calling directly from the Phone app, without the need for third-party applications. The answer is yes—some OPPO smartphones do support built-in video calling under specific conditions.
Built-In Video Calling on OPPO Phones
Certain OPPO smartphones are equipped with a built-in video calling feature, but this functionality is dependent on a combination of device compatibility, network support, and specific settings. Below are the requirements for using OPPO’s built-in video calling feature.
Conditions for Built-In Video Calling
For the feature to work, both the caller and the receiver must meet the following conditions:
Device Compatibility:
Both smartphones must support VoLTE (Voice over LTE) and video calling.
If the video call function is available, a Video option will appear when selecting the receiver’s contact in the Phone app.
Network Requirements:
Both SIM cards must support VoLTE service.
VoLTE must be enabled on both devices.
The location of both users must be within an area that supports VoLTE connectivity.
Both users must be on the same mobile network operator, as cross-network VoLTE calls are not always supported.
In Australia, only Vodafone supports the video calling feature on OPPO devices.
