Bluetooth Headset: Can You Listen to Music and Take Calls at the Same Time?
1. Mono Bluetooth Headsets
Mono Bluetooth headsets are designed mainly for calls only.
You can make and receive phone calls.
However, you cannot play music or watch videos using them.
These are typically single-ear headsets used for voice communication or hands-free calling.
2. Stereo Bluetooth Headsets
Stereo Bluetooth headsets are advanced versions that support both media and call audio.
You can listen to music, watch videos, and take or make calls.
They deliver richer sound and are ideal for entertainment as well as communication.
If you want an all-in-one headset for both calls and music, choose a stereo model.
How to Check Which Type You Have
1. Turn on your Bluetooth headset and enable Bluetooth on your OPPO phone.
2. Pair the headset with your device.
3. Go to the Paired Devices list in Bluetooth settings.
4. Check the connection options:
If you see Phone Audio only, it’s a Mono headset.
If you see both Phone Audio and Media Audio, it’s a Stereo headset.
5. You can manually toggle either option on or off if needed.
Making Calls with a Bluetooth Headset
During a call, you’ll see an audio output icon on the call screen.
Tap it and select your Bluetooth headset to route audio through it.
