Bluetooth Coding Introduction and Connection Guide for OPPO Devices
Understanding Bluetooth Coding (Bluetooth Codecs)
A Bluetooth codec is the technology used to compress, transmit, and decode audio over a Bluetooth connection. The codec determines sound quality, latency (delay), and battery consumption during wireless audio playback.
Below are the commonly supported Bluetooth codecs in OPPO devices:
🔹 SBC (Standard Codec)
Default codec supported by all Bluetooth audio devices
Ensures stable connectivity and basic audio quality
🔹 AAC (Advanced Audio Coding)
Better sound clarity and efficiency than SBC
Widely used across Android and iOS devices
🔹 ptX / aptX HD
Offers high-quality sound with reduced latency
Ideal for gaming and high-resolution audio (requires supported accessories)
🔹 LDAC
Developed by Sony
Provides near Hi-Res Audio performance
Best for premium headphones and audiophiles
🔹 LC3 (LE Audio)
Introduced with Bluetooth 5.2
Delivers clearer audio at lower power
Improves stability and energy efficiency
Note: Available codecs depend on your OPPO device model, ColorOS version, and the Bluetooth accessory you are pairing with.
