Why My Network is Still Not Fast Even When Connected to Dual Wi-Fi?

Situation: You want to know why the network is still slow even if connected to dual Wi-Fi.

Applicable to: Reno2 Series.

Here are the possible reasons:

  • The quality of the secondary Wi-Fi network is poor and the network speed is slow.

  • The main Wi-Fi network speed is already very fast that no need for a secondary one.

  • The app being used is not on the  dual Wi-Fi whitelist app

  • The scenario used is a single task single stream. For example, uploading only.

Suggested solution:

  • Not to save the Wi-Fi with poor network quality, and do not connect Wi-Fi with a poor network as secondary Wi-Fi.

  • Dual Wi-Fi is not recommended if the main Wi-Fi speed exceeds 6MB/s.

  • View supported apps: [Settings] > [Wi-Fi] > [Smart Speed-Up]  > [Dual-Wi-Fi Speed-Up] > then check the apps that is supported by dual Wi-Fi.

  • The single data streaming cannot be accelerated by dual Wi-Fi function. It is recommended to try multitasking scenarios. For example, slower speed when doing uploading only but should be uploading and downloading.

Note: Dual Wi-Fi is unavailable in these regions: Europe, parts of America (Grenada), parts of Asia (Ossetia, Cyprus, Armenia, Turkey, Georgia).
