Why Is My OPPO Phone Gets Hot When Not In Use
Is your OPPO device experiencing overheating issues even when it is not in use? The excessive heat from your phone when it is not actively in use could be caused by various factors, such as unnecessary applications running in the background, environmental conditions, harmful apps, or glitches within the system or applications. To resolve this problem, refer to the guide below and ensure your device continues to perform optimally.
Possible causes for phone overheating while in standby mode:
Charging during standby: One possible cause why your phone may get warm while in standby mode is the increasing charging current aimed at improving the charging speed, which causes it to become slightly warmer than usual during the charging process.
Background apps: Some applications continuously operate in the background even when your device's screen is off.
Unstable network signals: When the network signals are poor, your device persists in trying to connect, resulting in higher power consumption and increased heat generation.
Tips to prevent your phone from overheating:
Use the original charger and cable: We recommend using the original charger and cable when charging your OPPO phone in standby mode. If the device gets warmer, it indicates that the phone is increasing the charging current to accelerate the charging speed process. However, this is not harmful to the device and poses no safety threat.
Close unnecessary background applications: Having multiple applications running in the background will take up CPU resources, leading to increased power usage over time, causing the phone to become warm. You can close unnecessary applications in the background to reduce power consumption and lower the temperature of your phone.
Check network status: When your phone's network signal is weak, it requires more power to transmit and receive signals, which can raise the power consumption, causing it to heat up. We advise using your OPPO phone in an area with a good network signal.
Monitor power app consumption: Check the power consumption of your apps in the last three days to identify if any third-party apps are consuming power unusually.
To check: Go to [Settings] > [Battery] > [Battery usage by app].
If the abovementioned steps do not fix your concern, prepare your warranty card and contact your nearest OPPO Customer Service. You can also contact OPPO Support so we can help and assist you further with your concern.
