Why Does the Screen-Off Clock on My OPPO Phone Fades Temporarily?

 

Situation: The Screen-Off Clock fades temporarily from the phone screen after some time.

Applicable to: ColorOS 7.0 and above devices with Screen-Off Clock. Check your ColorOS version in [Settings] > [About Phone].

In order to save more power, when the phone movement is not detected, the fingerprint icon and Screen-Off Clock may fade temporarily. This phenomenon is by design for ColorOS 7.0 and above OPPO phones.

To light up the clock, lift the phone or tap the screen with your finger.

However, if the Screen-Off Clock completely disappears from the screen, check if the battery level is below 10%. The screen-off clock will not display if the battery level is lower than 10% and the phone is not connected to a power charger.
