Why Can’t I Pull Down the Status Bar My OPPO Phone
When using your OPPO phone, you may encounter an issue where the status bar, notification bar, or notification center cannot be pulled down. This can occur in specific scenarios, such as while using certain apps, during gameplay, or on the lock screen.
This article outlines possible causes and provides step-by-step troubleshooting methods to help restore normal functionality.
1. Issue Occurs While Using Game Apps
Some game-related features may restrict gestures to prevent accidental touches.
Step 1: Check Game Assistant Anti-Mistouch Settings
If the Notification Drawer Mistouch Prevention feature is enabled, it may block the pull-down gesture.
Slide out [Game Assistant] > [Tools] > [Touch optimisation] > turn off [Notification drawer mistouch prevention].
After disabling the option, return to the game and check if the notification bar can be pulled down.
Step 2: Clear the Desktop Cache
Corrupted launcher data may also affect gesture behavior.
[Settings] > [Apps] > [App Management] > Tap the three dots (top right) > [Show system apps].
[Search System Launcher] > [Storage usage] > [Clear data]
2. Issue Occurs on the Lock Screen
If no lock screen password is set, or if you are using the external screen of OPPO Find N2 Flip or Find N3 Flip with lock screen pull-down enabled, you can pull down the notification bar normally. In this case, you may skip this section.
Step 1: Check Lock Screen Notification Settings
Ensure that pulling down notifications from the lock screen is allowed.
For ColorOS 13 and above:
[Settings] > [Notifications & Quick Settings] > [Quick Settings].
Enable [Allow Quick Settings on lock screen].
For ColorOS 12.1:
[Settings] > [Notifications & status bar] > [Lock screen].
Enable [Swipe down on Lock screen to view notification drawer].
For ColorOS 12:
[Settings] > [Notifications & status bar].
Enable [Pull down on Lock screen to access notification drawer].
Step 2: Clear Desktop Cache
If the issue persists, clear the system launcher cache using the steps below:
[Settings] > [Apps] > [App Management] > Tap the three dots (top right) > [Show system apps].
Search [System Launcher] > [Storage usage] > [Clear data]
Step 3: Restart the Phone
Restarting the device can refresh system services and resolve temporary gesture issues.
If none of the above solutions resolve the issue, the problem may be related to system abnormalities or hardware concerns. It is recommended to visit an OPPO Service Center for further inspection and professional assistance.
