What Is Smart Sidebar and How to Use It on OPPO Phones
The OPPO Smart Sidebar allows easy access to tasks anywhere on your screen, enabling efficient multitasking between your favorite applications and tools. When the Smart Sidebar is enabled, you can reply to a message while the calculator app is open or take a screenshot while playing a game or watching a video. Read on and see what you can do with the OPPO's Smart Sidebar.
Note: Please note that the OPPO Smart Sidebar is available for ColorOS 5.2 and above. Check your phone's ColorOS version in [Settings] > [About Phone] / [About Device].
For ColorOS 5.0 to 5.1 it is called Full Screen Multitasking.
How to Enable OPPO Smart Sidebar
For ColorOS 16 and above: Go to [Settings] > [Accessibility & convenience] > [Smart Sidebar], then turn on [Smart Sidebar].
For ColorOS 12 to ColorOS 15: Go to [Settings] > [Special features] / [Accessibility & convenience] > [Smart Sidebar] > toggle [Smart Sidebar] to enable.
For ColorOS 6.0 to ColorOS 11.3: Go to [Settings] > [Convenience Tools] > [Smart Sidebar] > toggle [Smart Sidebar] to enable.
For ColorOS 5.2: Go to [Settings] > [Smart & Convenient] > [Smart Sidebar] > toggle [Smart Sidebar] to enable.
For ColorOS 5.0 to ColorOS 5.1: Go to [Settings] > [Smart & Convenient] > [Full Screen Multitasking] > and toggle [Full Screen Multitasking] to enable.
Note: Once enabled, a white vertical line on the side right side of your phone will appear. Slightly swipe it to the left, and the Smart Sidebar will show.
How to Manage OPPO Smart Sidebar
Long-press the [Quick tools] or the [Quick Apps] area to manage or edit what will show on your Smart Sidebar.
In some OPPO phones, slide to open the Smart Sidebar, then tap the
[Edit] button to manage the Smart Sidebar.
To add/remove apps or tools. Tap the [+] icon to add and the [-] icon to remove. Once done, tap [Done] to save changes.

Quick Apps
The Quick apps have been divided into two: Apps that can float and other apps.
As long as the app supports the floating feature, it will show on the floating apps. Other apps will show all the apps that are on your phone. However, you can only add 18 apps to the Smart Sidebar. You will be notified of “Adding limit reached” or "No more items can be added" if the Quick Apps slot is full. Choose the one that you frequently use.
