The multi-user option on smartphones is a feature that enables multiple individuals to have their distinct profiles and experiences on a single device. Each user can create an account with personalized settings, preferences, and access to apps and data. This functionality is particularly useful for families or shared devices in professional settings, as it allows for privacy and customization for each user. For example, one user might prefer certain apps or wallpapers, while another might have different preferences entirely. Additionally, multi-user support can help keep personal data and accounts separate, enhancing security and privacy for each user.

Applicable to: Devices that have a Multi-user Mode feature.

Note: The availability of Multi-user Mode depends on the phone model and ColorOS version.

Now, you can add different users to your phone so that they can use their own set of apps & data. In this way, your apps and data cannot be accessed by those users. Please follow the guide below to learn how to add users.

Add User

Go to [Settings] > [Users & Accounts] > [Multi-User] > [Add User] > [Enter User name & set profile picture] > [Add].

Note: Applications can be updated by any of the users.

* Pictures, settings, and paths might differ from your phone, but that does not affect the description in this article.
