What is Grayscale Feature on Your Device?

Situation: You want to know what Grayscale is all about.

Applicable to: ColorOS 6.0 and above. Check your ColorOS version in [Settings] > [About Phone].

Grayscale is a feature that curbs or lessens device addiction. Give your eyes a time to rest.

Basically, it turns everything in your Home Screen gray. The scientific reason behind it is that gray color is boring . The dullness of the color makes you not want to check your phone from time to time.

Two ways you can enable Grayscale:

  1. Control Center. Swipe down from the very top of any screen and look for Grayscale.

  2. Settings. go to [Settings] > [Digital Wellbeing & Parental Controls] > [Wind Down] > toggle  [Grayscale] to enable.
