Android 12, also known as Android S, is Google’s twelfth major release of the Android operating system, designed to enhance user experience through improved performance, advanced privacy controls, and a visually refreshed interface. Introduced with the new “Material You” design language, Android 12 focuses on personalization, dynamic theming, and smoother animations. It also delivers stronger security features and faster response times across devices. In this article, we’ll explore the key features, system upgrades, and what users can expect from Android 12.

The following features are the newest additions to Android S.


Wallpaper-based themes

Bubble animation

With the newly added bubble animation, you can directly reply to messages without opening the application in full screen. You can also quickly switch between the dialog boxes.


App Privacy

With Android 12, Google has added new privacy features that give users more transparency and control over applications. Among the features are a Privacy Dashboard, Approximate Location Sharing, and a Microphone and Camera Indicator to control the microphone and camera access of apps. 


How to download Android 12 on my OPPO phone

A notification will be sent to your phone if an update is available for your OPPO device. Tap the notification or manually go to [Settings] > [Software update] and check for updates.


Which OPPO phones will get the Android 12

Only applicable Android 11 devices will get upgraded to the official version of Android 12. It cannot be upgraded across versions or used for the alpha version or beta version updates.
