What are the Reasons why Dual Wi-Fi doesn't Switch the Network Connectivity?

 

Situation: You want to know why Dual Wi-Fi connection doesn't toggle.

Applicable to: Reno2 Series.

The following might be the reasons why your Dual Wi-Fi connection doesn't toggle.

  • Didn’t meet the conditions of connecting Dual Wi-Fi.

  • No different frequency of the Wi-Fi network saved, or no secondary Wi-Fi in the current situation.

  • No secondary Wi-Fi scanned.

  • The bad network of the main Wi-Fi or secondary Wi-Fi.

  • Secondary Wi-Fi cannot be connected to the network.

  • The main Wi-Fi and secondary Wi-Fi are in different routers, but the IP address is the same.

Here are the troubleshooting steps you can do:

  • Manually toggle dual Wi-Fi.

  • Make sure that the network in different frequency bands are saved on the mobile phone, and you can access the Internet after connecting them.

  • Go to Wi-Fii settings and scan manually.

  • Connect the Wi-Fi with a good signal as main Wi-Fi, and ensure there’s secondary Wi-Fi that has different frequency bands and with good signal in the surrounding environment.

Note: Dual Wi-Fi is unavailable in these regions: Europe, parts of America (Grenada), parts of Asia (Ossetia, Cyprus, Armenia, Turkey, Georgia).
