Turn Off or Modify Lockscreen Passcode on OPPO Phone
The passcode on your OPPO phone helps you protect your privacy against people who lurk on your phone without your permission. It also keeps your information, pictures, videos, or data safe. But if you don't need to put a passcode on your phone anymore, here is how you can do it. Just read on!
Applicable to: All OPPO Smartphones.
Turn off or change your passcode
You may check your ColorOS version in [Settings] > [About phone].
For ColorOS 5.2, 5.1, 5.0, and 3.2:
On the phone with a passcode. Go to [Settings] > [Fingerprint , Face & Passcode]. After you have set a passcode, you'll find two options:
[Turn off Passcode]: To turn off passcode, tap on [Turn off Passcode] then enter or draw a passcode or pattern to turn off your passcode.
[Modify Passcode]: To modify the passcode, enter or draw the old passcode or pattern, then enter or draw a new one, or tap on [Other Encryptions] to switch the other passcode categories.
For ColorOS 3.1:
Go to [Settings] > [Lockscreen password]. After you have set a passcode, you'll get two options:
[Turn off Passcode]: To turn off passcode, tap on [Turn off Passcode] then enter or draw a passcode or pattern to turn it off.
[Modify Passcode]: To modify the passcode enter or draw the old passcode or pattern, then enter or draw a new one, or tap [Other Encryptions] to switch the other passcode categories.
For ColorOS 3.0:
On the phone with a passcode, go to [Settings] > [Finger and password] > [Lockscreen Passcode] then toggle to green to enable lock screen password.
[Turn off Passcode]: Toggle to disable.
[Modify Passcode]: Just tap Change password.
